The situation on the border between India and China has escalated again. According to the Ministry of defense of India, on the night of August 29-30, there was an armed clash between the military of the two countries.
In new Delhi, the actions of Chinese soldiers were called “provocative”, ” violating the consensus reached during military and diplomatic negotiations over the ongoing confrontation in Eastern Ladakh.” It is noted that the Indian troops strengthened their positions and did not allow to change the situation on the ground.
Recall that the situation on the Indian-Chinese border near the territory of Ladakh escalated in may. At that time, several hundred soldiers from each side took part in the clashes, and there were reports of injuries and deaths. After another conflict in June, India and China held a series of talks at the military and diplomatic levels, but both sides did not achieve a satisfactory result.
It is worth noting that the problem of recognizing the border has existed for many years. No attempt to solve it was successful.
