Chairman of the Russian historical society Sergey Naryshkin said that the peoples of Russia and China suffered the greatest losses in the Second world war, which deserves the eternal respect and reverence of all peace-loving people of our planet. He stressed that Russia and China are categorically opposed to any attempts to distort and deny the historical facts of the Second world war.

Recall that in April this year, Vladimir Putin signed a law on the transfer from 2 to 3 September of the day of military glory – the Day of the end of world war II. Note that this date – September 3-was approved in 1945 by the authorities of the USSR, it was and remains significant for war veterans.
